‘Painting for a Purpose’
Our most recent show was hosted at the Historic Home of Steve Schackney and Celest Dunn-Shackney in San Diego Golden Hill Neighborhood. This ‘salon event’ was huge success. Jeff and Danny debuted their involvement with Art For Nature and brought an impressive catalogue of their works to the show. Celest and Steve were the consummate hosts in every dimension. Great art, food and wine. A perfect Sunday afternoon.

Recent Project August 2025
‘Pacific Squalls’
The impetus for this project was a sail across the Pacific in a 37 foot sailboat. Our team spent a month at sea, racing from LA to Honolulu, and then a much longer sail returning to San Diego. The trip was full of strong imagery with emotional attachments to both the joy and stress that offshore weather brings to a sailor. The paintings in this exhibition range from squalls to passive seas, both realistic and abstracted, in an attempt to capture the raw and elemental nature of sailing far offshore. 100% of proceeds will be donated to Art for Nature.
